We started Account Caddie because too many good businesses were making decisions on financials that were weeks out of date, or worse, wrong. We're a bookkeeping, tax, payroll and advisory practice built to fix that, and a member of the New Generation Group.

Our story

Founded on a simple frustration.

Since 2011, Account Caddie has worked with South African business owners who were tired of accountants who only showed up at tax season. Today that same practice also supports international founders and directors, in the US, UK and Canada, running businesses from Africa. We built a practice around a different idea: your books should be current enough, and your accountant close enough, that you can actually make decisions from them, not just file them away.

An internationally experienced finance executive and Fractional CFO with 20+ years of leadership across global markets, Selwyn has raised over USD 380 million across debt, equity, and project finance. He specialises in capital strategy, financial leadership, M&A, and business performance, helping organisations unlock growth and execute complex investment initiatives.

That breadth of experience, from raising capital to steering financial strategy at board level, shapes how Account Caddie approaches every client relationship: the same rigour, structure and commercial judgement used to guide major investment initiatives, now applied to the books, tax and payroll of growing businesses across Africa and internationally. Selwyn leads the firm's advisory work and sets the standard for accuracy and accountability across the team.
